Also some Windows 7 users experienced freezing of the GUI. q Bittorrent from June 23rd 2013 has a new maintainer.
We tracked it down to a specific commit in boost 1.56. Christophe Dumez, the original author, has stepped down and transfered the project maintenance to sledgehammer999. q Bittorrent now has new Ubuntu PPA repositories with daily builds of q Bittorrent, for both stable branch and trunk (development branch).
So until boost fixes it, I am going to use boost 1.55 for Windows releases. Now you can send money in Bitcoins and Litecoins too. I'm glad to announce that I uploaded today the first release candidate for q Bittorrent v3.0.0, the next major release of q Bittorrent.
Pay Pal donations will continue, but Bitcoins are preferred. I am really busy for the last few months in real life. If you take a look at the git repo you will see what the new commits fix. Some work has been done for the 3.2.x series, but serious development will begin after 3.1.10 has been released. We encourage people to start testing this release candidate and help us iron out the issues so that we can make a final release as soon as possible.
